Christmas!

Well, it's Christmas... Everything was pretty ordinary, as far as Christmas goes around here. Things probably started quite a bit later than is normal in other homes... sometime around 8:30 or 9:00. Of course, we started by going through our stockings and opening the little gifts found therein. It seemed that all that Neto and the girls were getting was candy, candy, and more candy... kind of made my stomach hurt. Anyhow, I got some sweet stuff, including the traditional bottle of peanuts, a headlamp, and some jalapeno jelly. Yum. Then, as usual, we had some OJ/milk/egg nog and muffins and toast, followed by the much anticipated opening of the Santa gifts. Emma and Jesse probably won the 'Greatest Abundance of Gifts' award... and they still helped everybody else open theirs.

I got these phat slippers from Santa... they looked a whole lot like the ones that I was looking at at Wal-Mart with Jenn and Neto... crazy how Santa knows exactly what you want and need. Hmm... Which brings to mind an experience I had last night. I was sitting watching the Broncos get destroyed by the Chargers, (mostly because I like to watch football, not because I thought the Broncos might win) when Dad comes marching up the stairs from the basement with a box full of gifts from Santa. I had to hold back the tears... and leave the room. I decided to just go to bed before I saw any other anti-Santa evidence. O, to be five again.

So back to the presents... I got Sara, Jesse and Emma these cute BYU t-shirts. Sara's is my favorite, it says "You're looking at one cute cougar." It's true. But she's so chunky that she may not fit into it. Hmm... I think she needs some Herbalife like her Papi. We'll work on that after the holidays.

All in all, I'd say it was a pretty sweet Christmas. Lots of delicious home-cookin, three cute little girls, and some Christmas surprises... I'll take it.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

So once upon a time I told somebody I would never do this... But then I realized how great of an idea it is to keep in touch with everybody... and it looks nice besides. So, Merry Christmas to all!
